Feel free to send this to all kinds of people and organisations, also in order to forward it:

Hello,

Put the fun between your legs cause here comes the biketour 2013. Read bellow the call out for ideas from the Biketour 2013 collective.

warm greetings EYFA team

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We are writing from the Ecotopia Biketour, a group of activists, and social change advocates who cycle each year through Europe on on different theme, from food sovereignty to sustainable economics.

Last summer we cycled from Barcelona to Venice with the theme 'Towards Degrowth' visiting 43 projects, actions and communities finding alternatives to capitalism, debt and consumerism. We cycled with 110 people from all over Europe and beyond, doing add hock protests, helping communities and learning about different forms of governance, whilst operating non hierarchically by consensus and in solidarity as an intentional mobile sustainable community.

You can see our blog here: www.ecotopiabiketour.net

This year the exact route and theme is not yet decided but we will be visiting projects and communities relevant to 'Borders and Boundaries' (exact title to be confirmed), relating this to our ongoing 'Degrowth' ideology, and themes such as public debt, economic refugees, and solidarity.

We will be organizing the tour from Berlin from March and will begin cycling most likely in July, South or East from Berlin for a few months- depending on projects and opportunities we find to visit. All the options will be discussed at a meeting in early March.

How you can help:

Could you recommend any places / people / communities / projects / activists in this area that we should visit to learn from, take part in actions or to lend a hand in some way (in Eastern Europe).

We are usually a group of between 20 and 40 people from all over Europe at any one time, so are keen to use our willing and able mass as usefully as we can, be it by helping build stuff, film stuff, running workshops, fixing bikes, skills shares etc.

The Ecotopia Biketour, now in its 23rd year, is a mobile informal peoples university on wheels...so if you know of anyone who may be able to help, for contacts or information, please do pass them on so that we can consider them at our meeting in March.

Please send relevant info and contacts to info@ecotopiabiketour.net

You can also join our mailing list for further information or get on your bike and come and join us this summer - but remember You are the Biketour!

Best wishes
