Preparation weekend 2012
For the first weekend of the biketour we will be at Can Masdeu (6-9th July). We can arrive any time on Friday.

Schedule
Thursday 5th: Anyone who is around come to help sort out infrastructure stuff, set up camp, shade area, water, light, cooking area, toilet etc. Need at lease 5 people to help with this.
Friday 6th: Meet throughout the day. We will leave Can Masdeu at 7pm to join the Critical mass :-) Critical mass meets at L'ARC DE TRIOMF at 20:00h, to leave at 20.30h!!
Saturday 7th: Fall in love with your bike day at Biciclot. From 12.00h-15.00h we have the chance to get to know this amazing bike workshop, use the tools, learn about basic bike maintenance and give our bikes the love they deserve. We will also bring food to share for Comida. (perhaps an Afternoon Screen printing workshop)
Sunday 8th: Degrowth biketour open day at Can Masdeu. We are in charge of opening the social centre, the bar, preparing the food (perhaps 100+ people) and workshop schedule.
Activities:
- 10.30 Rocket stove workshop
- 12.00 Tour of Can Masdeu with Guillem
- 13.30 Presentation Degrowth and the Biketour
- 15.00 Comida (a chance to practice our 'cooking for big groups' skills)
- 16.30 Presentation about Eurovegas
- 17.30 Cladio Life without money
Food ideas for the masses:
- Chickpea curry - ingredients: chickpeas (soaked), garam massala, chili, lemon, onion, garlic, tomatoes (lots) and spinach/kale or other leafy veg, olive oil, salt
serve with cous cous /quinoa and a salad This recipe is super easy and I have made in BIG before. Any left over food could be donated to Can Masdeu or taken to Kan Pascual.

Getting to Can Masdeu
Can Masdeu is in Barcelona, a 10 minute walk from public transport – bus or Metro. To cycle there find your route to Canyelles Metro and see the local map here
By Metro: L3 (the green line) <M> Canyelles. Bikes are welcome on the metro.
From the metro station go 200m West to Plaça Karl Marx. Pass the clinic STAUROS. take your first right, go 100m uphill to the end, take a right, go 50m uphill. There at the back of the clinic is a dirt road going uphill and a sign that says VALL DE CANMASDEU, walk 300m uphill and you will see a HUGE abandoned hospital just above a large old mansion. Camp spot
We have the lovely area by the gardens next to the almond trees to camp in. This needs to be set up on the Thursday(or possibly Friday morning). We are not able to have access to the main house unless this is for a reason previously agreed.
Food
We need to decide if we are going to be cooking communally that weekend, in which case we would need to collect some money from people. Another option would be to be self sufficient, this is because people may not all be around at meals together. Would be good to work out how to do it communally.
